Dear colleagues!
I would like to inform you that the next, 16th annual MRO Russia & CIS 2021 conference and exhibition has been scheduled for September 15 and 16, 2021. Booking show booths and admission has started, and the event’s business program is now being formed.

We strongly encourage you to consider participating in MRO Russia & CIS 2021: the aircraft maintenance market in the region, despite the losses caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, retains its potential. Russia’s vast territories and broad distribution of industrial facilities have resulted in a situation which is not typical for most of the countries during pandemic: although major restrictions on international travel reduced overall traffic by 49% in October 2020 compared to October 2019, Russia’s domestic market declined just 7 per cent year-on-year. Some airlines, ex. Pobeda (+11%), Azimut (+14%) and SiLA (6%), even managed to improve their traffic results.
MRO Russia & CIS 2020. How it was
Many Russian airlines claim they have no intentions of changing their fleet renovation and development plans. Aeroflot, for instance, is planning to completely restructure its existing fleet and bring it to 600 aircraft within the next five years. According to the newly adopted strategy Aeroflot Group’s total traffic should reach 130 million passengers by the year 2028. This optimistic target is backed by unprecedented support granted to Aeroflot by the Russian government, in part as a bail-out response to COVID-19. If this ambitious plan materializes, it will mean that Russia’s flag carrier alone will require engineering support and maintenance at billions of dollars value. And that’s not the only Russian airline, which has planned fleet renewal.

We expect a substantial improvement in economy in general, as well as the air transport industry in summer 2021, once COVID-19 vaccines have become available. According to forecasts, aggressive cost-cutting measures taken by Russian airlines, coupled with increased demand for air travel during 2021 as borders with an increasing number of countries are re-opening, will turn the industry around in the fourth quarter of 2021 which is earlier than previously forecast.

The country’s geography, the deferred demand for travel and mass vaccination are factors behind what is expected to be a strong recovery of Russia’s air transport industry, at rates exceeding world average. Those who choose to participate in MRO Russia & CIS 2021, will find themselves in the right place at the right time.
Exhibition floor plan MRO Russia & CIS
There are about nine months remaining until the new date of the MRO Russia & CIS conference and exhibition. To stay in touch with the event’s audience we are launching an online bulletin, which will be distributed among potential participants with market news, as well as the updates from the show’s exhibitors. Don’t forget to forward your news and releases to be published in the bulletin.

Show exhibitors, who participated in 2020 event have priority right for selecting the position of their booth at the 2021 event. The updated layout of the show site is attached.
