Dear colleagues!
2020 has proved arguably the hardest year in commercial aviation history. And the next several years also threaten to be rough and unpredictable. How can airports weather the turbulence — how can they manage their resources, which direction should they turn to? These issues are the focus of international online conference Airport of the Future, scheduled for November 11.

Restrictions on international air travel have hindered the traditional travel warm get-together, but at the same time going online has opened new opportunities. And considering the unprecedented situation the industry has found itself in, the forum’s organizer ATO Events has made the decision to make participation free for airlines, airports and travel agents.
Don’t miss your chance to book your place at the industry’s largest event
The conference will open with a welcome address from Kurt Hoffman, aviation expert and editor of Air Transport World, who will deliver an overview of how airlines and airports are working towards air travel market recovery. Throughout the pandemic, Kurt Hoffman has interviewed top executives of airlines and airports around the world and is eager to share his insights on how the industry is coping with the worst crisis in its history, what measures are being taken and what may drive development.
In the key panel discussion On the way to recovery moderator Herbert M. Keffel, Practice Leader and Management Consultant for Munich Airport International will review several airport cases with the executives of these airports — Radek Zabransky, Director Aviation & Strategic Marketing, Bratislava Milan Rastislav Stefanik Airport; Marius Gelzinis, CEO, Lithuanian Airports and Liene Freivalde, Director Aviation Services and Business Development, Riga International Airport.
Another key discussion is called Regional Airports — the untapped potential will be moderated be Sergey Koltovich, Member of the Board of Directors, Magnitogorsk International Airport and Elista, a renowned world-level expert in air transport, and Forbes Contributor. Sergey Koltovich is sure that a regional airport serving a city with population of 500,000 people and which handles about 50,000 passengers per year is quite capable to increase its throughput to 500,000 passengers per year. The question is, what hinders this growth? This discussion is dedicated to unraveling the development opportunities for regional airports.

The conference agenda includes an array of other topics — operational and technological. For instance, a presentation on deep learning technology for passenger comfort and safety will be delivered by Anton Golubev, director of project management department for Hikvision Russia, the company, which offered sponsorship support to the Airport of the Future conference.
