Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company was founded in 2000. Headquartered in Moscow, SCAC has branches at its production sites in Komsomolsk, Novosibirsk and Voronezh. Today SCAC employs over 2,000 people.

Focused on commercial aviation business, SCAC covers an overall aircraft-related scope of competences: marketing and sales, aircraft design and development, production, procurement, aircraft testing, aftersales support.

Nowadays SCAC’s major project is the Sukhoi Superjet 100 Program. The SSJ100 family is comprised of 78- and 98-seaters in basic and long-range configuration.

The Sukhoi Superjet 100 Program integrates the best international industry resources and experience. SCAC’s strategic partner is the Italian Alenia Aeronautica, while Snecma is our risk-sharing partner. Boeing Commercial Airplanes, the globally recognized aviation industry leader, provides consultancy support to the project. Over 30 leading international suppliers are involved in the Sukhoi Superjet 100 Program.

Sukhoi Superjet 100 integrates the best solutions the world aerospace industry can provide. SSJ100 will be certified according to both Russian and international standards. Superior technical and operational characteristics make SSJ100 a fully marketable and competitive product – cost-effective, easy to operate and maintain. The world market share for SSJ100 is estimated at the level of 1,040 aircraft till the year 2026. The aircraft performed its maiden flight on May 19, 2008.
