S7 Airlines (the trademark of Siberia Airlines) is a leading Russian air carrier: since 2002 S7 Airlines has remained the No 1 Russian domestic airline and one of the main Russian airlines on international routes. S7 Airlines occupies a 14.8% share of the Russian passenger airline market.

S7 Airlines was one of the first Russian airlines to start introducing an automated system of passenger and baggage registration and departure – the Departure Control System. Today S7 Airlines successfully uses the DCS at over 35 airports in Russia. The DCS is an essential condition of e-ticketing implementation.

S7 Airlines operates the largest domestic route network, based around its three main airports in Moscow (Domodedovo), Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo) and Irkutsk, plus others at Chelyabinsk (Balandino) and Perm (Bolshoe Savino).

S7 Airlines makes flights to Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific region countries. S7 Airlines is a designated air carrier on routes to more than 20 countries.

S7 Airlines actively develops partnerships with the world’s leading airlines on the basis of interline and code-sharing agreements. This allows the airline to sell tickets for flights on more than 70 major airlines of the world - British Airways, Lufthansa, Air China, Qantas Airways, JAL, United Airlines and other major global air carriers.

S7 Airlines’ representative offices operate in more than 50 cities in Russia and the CIS, and in 15 cities of the world, including Frankfurt, Dublin, Beijing, Antalya and Bangkok.

S7 Airlines operates one of the largest air fleets in Russia and the CIS.

Since 2004, S7 Airlines has aimed at the expansion and upgrading of its air fleet with aircraft from the world’s leading production corporations Boeing and Airbus. During this time the airline has put about 40 aircraft into operation.

At present S7 Airlines has several contracts with the world’s leading aircraft producers for the delivery of more than 60 new aircraft.

In 2008, S7 Airlines has received four new Airbus A320s, and by the end of this year two further Airbus A320s will have been received. In August 2008, two new Boeing 737-800 aircraft were put into operation, and two more in September.

Furthermore, by the end of 2008 S7 Airlines will be operating seven additional aircraft: two Boeing 737-400s and five long-haul Boeing 767-300s.

In 2009 the S7 Airlines air fleet will be bolstered by four Airbus A320s, two Boeing 737-800s and two Boeing 767-300s. Also in 2009 the delivery of 25 Airbus A320s will begin.

By the conditions of negotiated contracts the delivery of 10 Boeing 737-800s will begin in 2010 and in 2014, 15 Boeing 787 Dreamliners will also be added to the S7 fleet.

S7 Airlines has become the first Russian air carrier to buy Boeing 787 Drealiners, a move taken to further modernize the S7 fleet.

In terms of passenger growth rate, S7 Airlines demonstrates the best results of any Russian airline. In 2007, the company carried almost 6 million passengers (+800,000 on the 2006 figure) and made almost 48,000 flights. S7 aircraft spent more than 141,000 hours in the air. Passenger turnover reached 14 billion passenger-kilometers. The volume of cargo and post carried in 2007 was 33,305 tonnes (up 15% on the 2006 results).
